Metawalls is a new Art platform with a focus on Berlin street art, taking the city's artworks into the Metaverse as NFT's. We support Berlin's street art community, with the intention of preserving the artworks in digital form (as NFT's), and sharing with a global community our passion for the artists and their work.
Yes! We will only work with artists who agree to a collaboration with the Metawalls project, this is a vital component of what we're doing here. Our first aim is to build a collective, and provide a support base for the artists living and working in Berlin.
Our ‘CO-NFT’ stands for ‘Collective Ownership’, and allows for the fractionalisation of a single NFT artwork into multiple shares, using the Metawalls custom minting tool. A single CO-NFT share is a 'fraction' of the original artwork. CO-NFT's are divided into a predetermined number of shares, and each share is then made available as a unique NFT in its own right.
Make sure that you are connected with the same wallet/account you have purchased the share/s on OpenSea with. Click “connect wallet” in the website header menu and sign in. Refresh webpage. Note: Due to OpenSea restrictions it may take up to 10 minutes until your share will be updated and your wallet address/user name will be recognised. This applies across the metawalls.io website, including the share grid.

CO-NFT shares can be blended from adjoining multiple shares, to form larger, unique NFT's. For example, 4 neighbouring shares from the CO-NFT 'grid' can be blended to form a single (1) larger share. This feature will be available early Q1 - 2022 to allow for blending of shares into 'squares' (2x2, 3x3, etc.). It will be updated to allow for 'rectangles' (2x3, 3x4, etc) in Q2 - 2022.
At present Opensea does not support auctions for NFTs minted on Polygon. In addition, Opensea demands a reserve price of 1 ETH minimum, which makes it impossible to auction NFTs with a lower price range. For placing your BID:
OpenSea does not support MATIC payment, you will need to ‘swap’ to ‘WETH’ (referred to as ETH on Polygon). See the wallet/crypto guide here
Wrapped Ether (WETH) is ETH that can function on Polygon. Details on how to load your wallet with WETH can be found here
Due to server restrictions the download gets interrupted after 30 minutes. Make sure that your internet connection is fast enough to download the unlockable content within this time.
