The Berlin artist HERR VON BIAS is known for his colourful, often vibrating paintings and graffiti. His work embodies feelings of joy and love through his choice of shapes and colours. He also gets inspired by nature. Herr von Bias is part of the German and Austrian-based crew The Weird, who display a rich variation in style and skills. They work on large-scale mural productions, combining elements of all of their individual approaches to create multi-layered, high-impact paintings, albeit with a shared graffiti background. HRVB's body of work is a collection of funny, loud, weird characters with a lot of references to the pop culture of the 1990s. ‘Summer Love’ shows us a huge pineapple with pink sunglasses, combined with warm, bright summery accoutrements.
