SEBASTIAN WANDL, alias Wandal, was born in Munich in 1985. He became interested in colours, shapes and creativity at a very early age. His youth was influenced by skate and hip hop culture. Fascinated by graffiti, Sebastian started his career as an artist with a spray can. After studying art in Munich, he focused on painting and illustration.

The Series ‘Nature’s View’ represents Wandl's latest work, where he makes a statement about the importance of nature: that even if we hardly feel connected to nature today, we are still a part of it. ‘Nature's View’ is a series of oil on canvas works that combines his love for nature with his interest in portrait painting. These artworks capture the viewer through a focus on the eyes, the view from which is employed in conjunction with a floral patterning that further abstracts the portrait. Wandal reminds everyone to take moments for themselves, to think about the inner world and environment and similarly important topics.
